Poetry Week

Enjoy Horizon Poets

We had a poetry week in the second week of September. Haikus, limericks and prose poetry were the popular ones among the students. Here we present sample poetry written by students from different grades. You will be able to enjoy more at our website where certain grades will post the poems they wrote in the Poetry week.

Anger special

Fighting with each other is called friendship.

Anger is a kind of love,

If there is no Anger,

You can’t feel, what’s called Anger.

Being kind hearted is the Sun,

Shine brightly to my wild Anger.

Anger is Moon.

Moon also has light,

Moonlight shadow is everywhere.

That means friendship and anger is everywhere.

Writer: Steven, Grade 7

The rain is bear,
feeds itself and goes to sleep
the winter has come.

A Picture that Recalls My Past

I take my pencil and move on the paper

I draw a man playing violin

His face looks apologetic,

His eyes look innocent like a child

There is a river before him

I draw the sun and its reflection on the water:

Twins

After I finish, I take a deep breath

I see the paper sparkles

These are my tears: I can notice them

As I remember someone who was important to me

Writer: Sandral, Grade 10
